Some Ways of Keeping our Take Away Foods Safe for Long at Home

The COVID 19 Pandemic is not showing any signs of going away any time soon, albeit efforts of the Governments of states from all around the world. Nevertheless, it has brought in a sea change in the way we lead our lives. Dining is one aspect of our lives that has seen the most drastic change because of the pandemic.

While in the past, people used to love to dine out with the family, in the neo-normal scenario they are more preferring to take away food and enjoy back at the safe confinement of their home with their family. Uthong Thai Restaurant has also seen a drastic change in the habits of its patrons. Indeed, more and more of our patrons now vouch for taking away foods rather than seating and dining.

Now the question is, how to preserve these take away foods safely this summer? Here on this page, we discuss the top 5 tips that will guide you to keep them safe.

Keep Your Trip as Short As You Can

When it comes to taking the food back to your home from our food restaurant in Mornington,  ensure that the journey is as short as it can be. Thus, if you have other things to do, complete them and then get to our restaurant. Grab the food and head straight back to your home, instead of going somewhere else en route. Cutting short your trip back home will help you to have it at the earliest.  It will help the food stay warm and fresh.

Keep Your Exposure Limited

When you are on your way back home from our outlet, you need to keep your exposure limited. Avoid crowds and if possible, take a private taxi transport service. This will help you stay away from the crowd of public transport and help you get back to your home faster, limiting your exposure. The lesser you expose yourself in the public, the safer it is for the food that you are carrying.

Keep the Food Separate Depending on its Temperature

This is another basic step that you need to take. You must ensure that you keep the foods separate from each other on the basis of their temperature. Two of the most popular takeaway dishes in Mornington from our restaurant are Tom Yum and Tom Kha. Now, if you have taken Tom Yum or Tom Kha along with Banana Fritter, which is a dessert, you must keep the dish away from the dessert if you are to keep the dessert safe and fresh. Otherwise, the higher temperature from the dish might get transferred to the dessert, spoiling it more so, in this simmering summer heat and humidity. Yes, you have a refrigerator, but you do not have it when you travel.

Don’t Forget to Practice Personal Hygiene

Do not forget to maintain personal hygiene. After you get back to your home, unwrap the foods and transfer them to clean containers if you are to store them. Do not put them in the fridge straight away, if they are hot. Let the food come back to the normal temperature and then put it in the fridge. And don’t forget to sanitise before all these.
