Uthong Thai Restaurant too takes inspiration and heart from these daring individuals and continues to deliver you safe and hygienic food in the wake of COVID-19.

With online food delivery labelled as an essential service by the federal government to help citizens meet their daily edibles and protect them, we pledge to continue this role happily as your ever-reliable food restaurant in Mornington. To this effect, we have implemented a slew of preventive measures to reduce possibilities of virus spread along with up-keeping optimal hygiene.

Here’s A Look into A Few of Them.

For All Our Delivery Team: –

• We Remind Them Regularly To Adopt WHO-Recommended Hygienic Practices:-

This is for respiratory hygiene, appropriate method and frequency of washing hands and knowledge on identifying associated virus symptoms. Plus; we have even presented them a series of informative videos featuring pertinent shots in numerous languages as one ready reckoner.

We have stacked up ample supply of N95 masks and allotted it to all our delivery team for serving the affected areas of Mornington.

• We Instruct Them on No-Contact Delivery: –

We have specifically informed each of our delivery men to keep true to no-contact delivery. As a means of protection; they’ve been instructed to call the customer minutes before reaching and drop off their ordered food at their doorstep or collapsible gates.

This is perhaps one of the most crucial measures taken by us, and our delivery team to keep every customer safe along with keeping themselves protected if, by chance, the customer is unwell.

• Immediate Medical Assistance On Being Informed: –

If anyone, unfortunately, gets infected by this COVID-19 and develops associated symptoms such as coughing, sneezing, fever or even dry throat, then we have urged them to inform us of their situation and see a doctor immediately.

As our means to show support, we have even arranged for on-call medical consultation.  And, for the safety of others, suggested them to quarantine themselves till they recover.

In Addition To All These, We Also Perform The Following:

• Regular sanitisation at our sit-in dining area, kitchens, cash counters and every other nook and corner of the restaurant to ensure the highest level of hygiene
• Our prepared meals are packed carefully (and in separate bags) using gloves to prevent it from coming in contact with potentially contaminated surfaces or hands
• Everyone one in our delivery team serving all across Mornington undergoes mandatory temperature check-up frequently
• We have stacked up lots of alcohol-based sanitisers which are regularly provided at food delivery pick-up points to each member of our delivery team.

Other Simple, Yet Important Steps We Do To Guarantee Safety:-

• Our head chef and his team (wearing masks and protective gloves) prepare each dish using fresh and properly washed edibles, ensuring maximum hygiene and taste.
• We endorse and recommend cashless payment to eliminate contact with people.
• Ideally, we instruct our delivery guy to wear a mask and gloves when handling the food package. And to you; we advise only one person to receive and handle the package till the outer packet is discarded.

After Receiving Your Food Delivery:-

• We advise you to dispose of the outer packet far away and transfer the food to your clean vessel prior to consumption.
• After you have thrown away the outer package; wash your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds.
• Reheat the food in a microwave to kill any potentially existing trace of bacteria/virus prior to consumption. And although we do adopt the highest sanitary standards for preparing, packing and delivering your meals; we still suggest reheating your meals every time.
